She opened Mosé Auto in Seattle in 2010, and worked for over a decade on her own, providing automotive repair, maintenance, and detailing services to friends, family, and her community. As the business grew, she hired two mechanics, and more recently added a business partner to handle Mosé Auto’s new tire division.
“I’m just learning as we go along, because that’s the only way we can survive in the automotive business,” says Mosé, a Guatemalan native who grew up in a family of hard-working entrepreneurs.
After working as a female auto mechanic for 20 years, Mosé’s business is now starting to thrive. In addition to growing a small auto mechanic team and adding tire services, she moved Mosé Auto to its Georgetown location in 2019 and now teaches women about auto repair to help them understand what services they’re getting or even become mechanics themselves.
